Kerala Tour Package: Munnar, Alleppey & Fort Kochi Escape Package

Welcome to Kerala! Our representative meets you at Cochin International Airport or Ernakulam Railway Station and you begin the scenic drive to Munnar, about 4 to 5 hours away. The road climbs gradually into the Western Ghats, and the landscape turns from coastal plains to forested hills. You stop along the way at Cheeyappara and Valara Waterfalls, which are at their best in and after the monsoon. As you near Munnar, the first tea estates appear, and the temperature drops noticeably. After check-in you can rest, freshen up and take a gentle walk around the local market. In the evening you can browse for fresh tea, spices and homemade chocolates. Dinner is served at the hotel, followed by an overnight stay in the cool mountain air.

After a leisurely breakfast, today is a full day exploring Munnar’s highlights. Start with Eravikulam National Park, home of the endangered Nilgiri Tahr, and enjoy sweeping views of the hills. Next is Mattupetty Dam, where you can take photos or go boating (own cost). Continue to Echo Point, where your voice bounces back across the valley, and to Kundala Lake in its quiet setting. A visit to the Tea Museum shows how tea has been grown and processed here for over a century. Along the way you walk through the plantations, which make perfect photo spots. Spend the late afternoon at leisure or shop for spices, tea and handmade chocolates. Return to the hotel for dinner and a relaxing evening.

After breakfast, check out and drive to Alleppey, about 5 to 6 hours away. As you descend from the hills, the scenery changes to paddy fields, coconut palms and quiet canals. On arrival at the Alleppey jetty, you board your traditional Kerala houseboat around midday. The welcome drink is followed by a freshly prepared Kerala-style lunch. In the afternoon you cruise slowly through the backwaters and watch village life pass by, with fishermen, children on the banks and birds overhead. Evening tea and snacks are served on board as the sun sets over the water. The houseboat anchors for the night, and dinner is served on the deck. Sleep to the gentle sound of water in a comfortable AC bedroom.

After breakfast on the houseboat, you check out around 9 AM and drive to Fort Kochi, about 1.5 to 2 hours away. After hotel check-in, begin your heritage walk through one of India’s most atmospheric old towns. Visit the iconic Chinese Fishing Nets and watch fishermen at work along the shore. Then see St. Francis Church, one of the oldest European churches in India, and Santa Cruz Basilica. Stroll through Jew Town to see the Paradesi Synagogue, antique shops and spice markets. The Dutch Palace (Mattancherry Palace) displays beautiful old murals. In the evening, enjoy the sunset at Fort Kochi beach and the cafés and street art of the area. A Kathakali or Kalaripayattu show is an optional evening activity. Dinner and overnight stay in Fort Kochi.

After a relaxed breakfast, you have some free time to pick up last-minute souvenirs such as spices, coir products or Kerala sarees. Check out of the hotel and our driver takes you to Cochin International Airport or Ernakulam Railway Station in time for your onward journey. You leave with memories of tea hills, backwaters and heritage streets. The tour ends here with a warm Kerala goodbye.
